Gil Greshams 1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe Cabriolet
Car is a 41 Chevy Special Deluxe Cabriolet.
It was purchased in 2013 from Pat Suell in Hueytown, Al.
I have since made several modifications and additions to the car.
Exterior: Essentially stock. Paint is DuPont Black basecoat/clearcoat. LED taillights, custom built front bumper bracket covers, Optional hood ornament and American 5 spoke mag wheels. All chrome has been redone and stainless re-polished. New Port electric wipers. Cowl vent has bee retained.
Interior: Original 41 dash with addition of AutoMeter gauges.
Features 41 optional ornamental (accessory) spinner steering wheel. Yankee directional unit. Original seats covered in Lipstick red leather. Top is covered in Mercedes Benz top material and all top irons have been chrome plated.
Ron Francis wiring harness and Kenwood stereo system.
Driveline-Suspension: Chassis Engineering Mustang II front end and CE rear suspension. Manual rack & pinion 79 Nova differential with 3:55 gears. T5 transmission with Hurst shifter. Sway bars front and rear. Disk brakes on all 4 corners.
Engine: 62 GMC 261 inline 6. Comp Cams solid lifter camshaft. Offenhauser intake with 2 Weber two barrels. Fenton headers with 2 dual exhaust, Flow Masters and echo cans. GM HEI ignition and Taylor wires. 848 High Compression head with oversize stainless steel valves. Balanced and blueprinted. Wayne valve and side cover, Moon breathers. Horsepower a plenty.
